Michelle F. reported that where will be a meeting next Friday about the auction
Peter E. is looking for pre-election ballot counters to meet at the town hall plus he has a need for more counters for the general election.
Gail K. announced the farewell event for police chief Erin Commerford will take place at the Baker Free Library on the evening of Sept. 5,2016
Sandy E. talked about the membership meeting and announced that Linda L. will be the new Sunshine Comm. chair.
Gail K. said that there will be a board meeting on the 12th. At the library

Bill M. announced the speaker, Barbara Keshen
She talked on the subject of the death penalty. She is a former state prosecutor that has prosecuted fifty murder cases. She is against the death penalty and went on to explain on many levels why.
N.H. has only one inmate on death row- Michael Adison for the murder of officer Michael Braggs. The state has on two occasions voted on doing away with death penalty only to fail by one vote.
Lead by the Republican Party on both occasions.
