Another week has flown by, and it was heartening to see such a great turnout at the Rotary Club of Toowoomba East. A strong attendance is always a wonderful reminder of the fellowship and commitment that make our club special.
We were delighted to welcome Craig Mathierson and Jim Charlton back.
After the Secretary’s and Treasurer’s reports, went to general business and the directors’ reports—an important opportunity to keep up with the work happening across our club.

Rusty and Rea have been exploring the Australian countryside, and their slideshow gave us a terrific glimpse of what sounds like a memorable adventure. Welcome home! We were especially pleased to hear they made it back safely, without even a puncture to fix. Congratulations on a great trip and thank you for sharing it with us.
It was with great sadness that we learned of the passing of foundation member and past president R. P. Matherson. His contribution to our club will be remembered with respect and gratitude. Our sincere condolences go to his family and friends.
A reminder that our Board meeting will be held at lunchtime on Thursday, followed by our evening meeting at the Sports Club. I look forward to seeing everyone there Thursday night from 6.00pm.
