This week has been another strong demonstration of our club’s commitment to service starting with Ron, Geoff S, and Ross Watt getting their hands dirty at the flexi School with a clean up of the gardens and surrounds.
And the Hospice gardening men were on deck again with the ongoing commitment at the Toowoomba Hospice.
This week we were privileged to welcome Peter Davis from Blood Bike Queensland. Peter shared the inspiring story of their volunteer network of motorcyclists who donate their time, skills, and motorcycles to transport urgent medical items—including blood, pathology samples, and essential supplies—across South East Queensland. His presentation highlighted the incredible impact that dedicated volunteers can have on the health and wellbeing of our community. Members expressed deep appreciation for the professionalism, passion, and service ethos demonstrated by Blood Bike Queensland.
This presentation sparked meaningful discussion and reinforced the importance of diverse perspectives within our club.
Administrative tasks for the month remain on schedule after our Bord Meeting last Monday night
Thank you all for your ongoing commitment to Rotary and to the values that define our club. Your service continues to make a meaningful difference in Toowoomba and beyond. I look forward to another productive and inspiring week ahead.
