What a wonderful week in Rotary!
We enjoyed an excellent club meeting with our guests, our Chairman, Geoff Somerville, and our guest speaker, Glenn Gatehouse from the Toowoomba West Special School. Glenn gave a truly engaging presentation that generated plenty of interest, thoughtful questions, and informative answers. We are looking forward to welcoming him back for a vocational visit in the What a wonderful week in Rotary!
Last Thursday's meeting was a fantastic afternoon, beginning with a wonderful presentation recognising Chris Warmington and Adrianne for their outstanding contribution over the past 10 years, Chris was proudly presented with a Gold Certificate of Appreciation from Australian Rotary Health, presented on the day by PDG Ian McKay from Australian Rotary Health, Congratulations to Chris and Adrianne, and well done on such a fantastic achievement. Ten years of commitment, dedication and service is certainly something to be proud of, and we thank you both for your wonderful contribution.
Then it was on to the Great Debate — and, oh my goodness, the Rotary boys took out the honours! Congratulations to the two Geoff's and Gary on a fantastic effort and a job very well done. It was great to see the team get the result this year!
Let's not forget the girls from St Saviour's School, who put in a terrific effort and made it a very enjoyable and entertaining debate. Well done, girls, and congratulations on a great performance. We look forward to seeing you all again next year.
Don't forget Tony's Bunnings barbecue at Bunnings North Toowoomba on the 2nd of October. Your support would be greatly appreciated, so come along and lend a hand if you can.
And that's our week in Rotary — another week of friendship, fellowship and making a difference in our community, I look forward to seeing you all on Thursday night for another great meeting and a wonderful guest speaker.
Until then, keep up the great work and enjoy your week in Rotary!
Yours in Rotary,
Peter J. Nalder

near future.
Past President Peter Burrows raised some questions regarding club fees. Please be assured that we will have the answers as soon as possible. Thanks, Pete.
On Friday evening, the combined Rotary clubs came together to support the Domestic Violence Vigil for Jana Armstrong at Civic Square in the Toowoomba City Centre. It was a very moving tribute and a meaningful opportunity for our community to stand together against domestic violence.
On Saturday, we had a fantastic result at the Bunnings barbecue at Toowoomba North. A special thank you to Tony and all the team for their hard work and commitment throughout the day. Your efforts delivered an excellent result for our club, and you should all be congratulated.
This Thursday, we also have our annual debate against St Xavier's School. We wish our own team every success as they aim to bring home the honours this year. Good luck, boys—we're all behind you!
Well done, everyone. Thank you for another great week of service and fellowship.
We'll see you all on Thursday.
Yours in Rotary,
Peter Nalder

Good morning, Fellows, Partners and Friends,
We have been advised of a Bunnings North BBQ availability on FRIDAY 2nd October 2026.
Before I accept the allocation for the Club, I need to find the support and this is to seek members availability on that day for the roster. We will need between 10 and 15 members for either 2 or 3 shifts.
Your speedy return advice of “Yes” or “No” will be much appreciated. If your response is YES please note it in your calendar/diary!
