Bruce McNaught gave us a fabulous presentation last Thursday. Not only did he speak of his personal dealings with Polio as a child in the 50’s but he delivered an impressive story about both the technical aspect of the viral infection and the time line of Rotary’s involvement in attempting to eradicate the disease from the face of the earth. It is always wonderful to hear from dedicated Rotarians who are a living example of the objectives of Rotary. We thank Bruce and his wife Cheryl for making time to include our Club meeting in their to Toowoomba for their wedding anniversary.

 

The Board will meet this coming Wednesday evening at the YellowBridge Board room. I look forward to reporting to you about the outcomes of the Board meeting at our lunch meeting on Thursday. I draw your attention to the newsletter that Roger has included in this week’s Easterly from Gemma Sisia – School of St Jude in Tanzania. Many of us have been inspired by the work that has been undertaken in the last 20 odd years and it is great to read about the progress that has been made.
