Rotary Club of Toowoomba East Inc.
Another wonderful weekend with Rotary, made even more special by an inspiring guest speaker. A heartfelt thank you to Jules Davey for sharing her story and the outstanding work she is doing through Hope for Our Children in Toowoomba. Jules, your dedication and passion for helping others truly inspired us all.
Hope For Our Children delivers its Bags of Hope program, which provides essential items to children in transition and refugee children. These bags offer practical assistance, comfort and encouragement to children facing challenging circumstances, helping to ease their journey and bring hope for a brighter future.
The organisation’s mission is both simple and powerful: to believe in the boundless potential of every child and to empower, nurture and uplift some of the most vulnerable members of our community. It is a wonderful example of how one person’s commitment and compassion can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
I am particularly proud to share that the Rotary Club of Toowoomba East will be making a donation of $5000.00 to support Jules and her important work. Jules operates the organisation on her own, demonstrating remarkable dedication to improving the lives of children and families who need a helping hand.
As Rotarians, we are committed to serving our community and supporting those who work tirelessly to make it a better place. We hope our contribution will assist Jules in continuing this valuable work and enable Hope for Our Children to reach and support even more children in need.
Thank you once again, Jules, for the wonderful work you do and for reminding us of the difference that compassion, generosity and community spirit can make.
Board Meeting – Wednesday, 14 October 2026
Earlier in the week, on Wednesday evening, 14 October, the Board of the Rotary Club of Toowoomba East Inc. gathered once again to review our ongoing projects, donations and commitments.
With payments to St Lukes Larder of $2000.00 and a payment of $5000.00 to the Napal Flood Disaster Appeal through Rotary Internation Foundation.
The meeting provided a valuable opportunity for all directors to discuss current priorities, review our progress and establish clear actions for the remainder of the Rotary year. We also considered how best to manage our resources and ensure our projects continue to move forward effectively.
It was a productive meeting, with a strong focus on planning, accountability and ensuring that each director has a clear understanding of their responsibilities and the tasks ahead.
With our goals in mind, we look forward to continuing our work together and making a positive difference in our community throughout the remainder of the year.
This is Rotary in action—people coming together to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
Yours in Rotary,
Peter J. Nalder
President 2026/2027
