They will be holding an event May 2 at the Fairmont Royal York. Mississauga’s Cheryl Pounder will be keynote speaker.
- Ralf Soeder: The next Global Medic packing shift for RCO members will be Saturday April 27 10am to 12 noon.
Bob Dodds then entertained us with a quick Happy Bucks Membership update – since June 2023 we have lost 2 members, and we have gained 2. Our 2 returning members are Dana Dennaoui and Wayne Snyder. - RCO Club is currently showing a $734 surplus for the period
Introduction to the RCO Charitable Fund - George Vincent answer the question: who/ what is RCO CF?
- RCO CF’s 9-month results
- Sources funds: RCO Foundation + fundraising by members
- Donations we have made and are planning to make, including looking to give $50,000 bursaries this year
- Overheads: audit fee and bank charges
- RCO CF is currently showing a $48,883 surplus for the period
- If we spend our donation budgets then we expect to see a small deficit for the year ended June 2024
- RCO CF has a reasonable general fund balance ($130,000) so a small deficit would not be a problem
Introduction to Trafalgar Senior Homes - Bob Dodds took us through recent history, including a disposal that resulted in $15m being transferred to RCO Foundation
- Bob reminded members that the information provided is confidential and should not be shared outside of RCO Club members
Mahendra introduced the next meeting: Informal strategy meetings for members Part II – RCO Foundation. The boards of all 4 RCO entities have some big decisions to make this year, and this series of meetings will help members to understand the background, implications, etc. and to participate in the decision-making process. Mahendra closed the meeting with a toast to friends and Rotarians from around the world |
