Meeting started promptly at 6:30pm., while this was the first meeting hosted by our new 2023/2024 President – Mitch Sabsabi.

And a most significant Rotary Club of Oakville appointment within a consequential milestone of historic achievements in a celebratory 100th year of membership and its collaborative and contributive community services and support efforts.

Pleased that two ex-Rotarians have joined the RCO for dinner, one has relocated from Charlottetown PEI., and the other is a retired CIBC/Bell employee while now living locally in Oakville. (Both are reviewing our RCO Club membership and looking into joining our RCO Club).

• Ralf Soeder announced a further July 27th Global Medic packaging opportunity where supportive hands are required, to the benefit of Yellowknife, North-West Territories. 

• George Farrow thanked the RCO Club for its purchase of 50 Miss Lizzy books and announced that Miss Lizzy will be making an appearance at the Oakville Centennial Library downtown on August 10th between 9:00 am. 12:00 pm. (George Farrow will provide a Miss Lizzy ‘book reading’ at the Oakville Library commencing at 10:00 am). 

• Mahendra Shah announced an upcoming Trafalgar Senior Homes (TSH) ‘Centennial Towers’-17 Stewart Street, Seniors Residents Barbecue Dinner. All RCO Rotarians are invited to this no-charge event hosted by its TSH Board of Directors. (Outdoor Set-Up activities commence at 4:00 pm. where all supportive hands are to be utilized). 

 

Fine Master/Happy Bucks: (Co-mingled, as members gave vocal appearances that everyone was happy).

• Sid Joshi was proud and very happy that his daughter graduated from grade eight (8), having received Math & Science Awards. 

• Mahendra Shaw was also pleased to announce his granddaughter graduated with 3 academic recognition awards as well.

• Ralf Soeder shared Mahendra’s happiness, regarding the World Champion Cricket Champions.

• George Farrow mentioned Miss Lizzy will be attending the Model T Club located in Detroit, while strutting her stuff amongst other Model T owners. 

• Frank Morewood announced he enjoyed his ‘Best Golfing Outing’ this year.

• Amin Kawar was happy to announce, his daughter recently graduated from King’s Christian High School.

• Dana Said proudly stated a personal accomplishment, where she secured a 5K Run in less that 30 minutes, given room for further improvement.

• Rod Craig stated he is pleased that he and his wife shall be hosting family guests from England.

• Baljeet Toki, (Bally), was pleased to announce that his business is now celebrating his 1st Year Anniversary, while thanking everyone for their generous personal and business support.
