RCO Meeting – RCO Charitable Fund AGM

September 13, 2021
President Michael Conway called the first in-person meeting in more than 18 months to order at 6:30 pm. He welcomed everyone and proposed a toast to the Queen and Canada. This was followed by singing of the national anthem.  
George Vincent read the invocation.
Attendance:
 12 members; 2 guests (Valsa Nair from RCOT and prospect Tony Awad) for a total of 14.
Happy Bucks & Fines:
Richard Roberts conducted the “happy bucks and fine” session that raised $48 for PolioPlus.
Announcements:
President Michael Conway noted that, with Rudy Habesch being the District Governor for 2021-22, the District Banner will reside with our Club in the current Rotary year. He also commented that the Community Service Committee is looking for members to join that committee.
Amin Kawar commented that the International Committee had its first meeting on September 9th; had already identified some projects to support and will actively look for other opportunities for worthy projects.
Michael Bissauge mentioned that the Youth Committee is looking for a member to look after Interact clubs.
Michael Henry reminded members about the upcoming Golf to Give Tournament on September 20, 2021 and to signup for it, if not already done.
RCO Charitable Fund (CF) AGM:
The meeting was turned over to George Farrow to preside over CF’s first AGM at 7:30 pm.  The AGM lasted for 30 minutes.

  • October 4, 2021 – OCHI & TSH – Update and Strategic Options
President Mike Conway concluded the meeting at 8:10 pm by proposing a toast to friends and Rotarians around the world.
