 nvention. The Rotary Club of Passport South was chartered in 2018 - one of
  the first clubs to be created since RI created the "Rotary Passport Club"
  concept. Norma Gamble\, Charter President and long time Rotarian\, will
  tell us more about her club and their unique take on\, "Rotary... from ex
 clusive to inclusive\, and from reserve to reinvention."  About the Speak
 er Norma Gamble is a South African immigrant who moved to Canada in the la
 te ‘70s\, Norma settled in Oakville some 45 years ago. Majored in Englis
 h and Speech & Drama at the University of Natal\, Durban. Post graduate qu
 alifications are in English and in Business Management – UNISA (Universi
 ty of South Africa)\, and Damelin Management School. Decades of internatio
 nal experience on THREE continents allows Norma to draw on a vast reservoi
 r of work & life experience. Having joined the Oakville Chamber of Commerc
 e\, Membership Development\, in the early ‘80s\, Norma saw membership gr
 owing from just over 300 to 700 in 18 months\, taking the organization ‘
 out of the red’. She started the Oakville Chamber Women’s Network\, (l
 ikely the very first formal network in Canada) - well before networking be
 came a word we understood & used. Her Rotary contributions include the fol
 lowing: Team Leader ‘96 - Rotary International’s Group Study Exchange 
 program of goodwill ambassadors to Austria and the Czech Republic. Distric
 t Chair GSE (3 years)\; District International Chair (3 years). A FIVE-tim
 e recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow\, Rotary’s highest honour\, in rec
 ognition of local & international humanitarian contribution. President Rot
 ary Club D7080 Passport Club\; Chair\, District 7080\, Community Service 
   Outside of Rotary\, Norma has been involved in real estate and social en
 trepreneurship with her currently initiatives/enterprises as follows:  su
 iteLiving360 Affordable Housing: a not for profit focused on creating affo
 rdable housing for seniors\, promoting an Eco village\, or Intentional Com
 munity model  ​​suitePEAS (Private Elegant Affordable Spaces): innova
 tive affordable co-housing and quality living for women 55+
