I [ Rhonda] managed to track down the events manager at The Komo today.
She assures me that they are hosting an upstairs even for the Cup and look forward to us joining them with our Sweeps to support Australian Rotary Health
She is guessing about 100 guests - maybe up to 150 - but they have only recently launched their event.

The downstairs renovation may be complete by November but at this stage they are planning to host Melbourne Cup upstairs only.

So - reserve the date - 3rd November - 10.30am ish till 3pm ish
We will need ticket sellers - 4
Money Minders - 2
Supporters - ????

I am happy to liaise with The Komo and collect tickets and prepare prefilled winners envelopes

Please advise me [Rhonda]  if you are able to assist on the day -

We have some beautiful ticket seller hats reserved to identify our staff.

Colin - I think you are the Calcutta Expert. Can i entrust you with managing that part of our day.

Dear Rhonda, I am reaching out to see if your club would be interested in partnering with us on a vital healthcare initiative: funding an essential X-ray project in Cambodia.
Access to medical imaging is severely limited in our target region and by helping us ,you will directly support accurate diagnosis for TB,fractures, acute chest complaints and ultimately save lives.
Would you be open to a brief 10-15 presentation at a future club meeting so i can share more details and project costs with your members.
Thank you for your time and your continued service to the global community.
Warm Regards
Pat

Message
"Namaste from Rotary Club of Dhulikhel Shikhalapur, Nepal. I hope this message finds you well. On behalf of the Rotary Club of Dhulikhel Shikhalapur, I am reaching out with a heartfelt appeal for your support following the devastating floods and landslides that have severely impacted communities across Nepal. The disaster has caused tragic loss of lives, destruction of homes, displacement of families, and immense hardship for thousands of people. Many affected communities are urgently in need of safe drinking water, sanitation support, emergency relief supplies, and temporary shelter. As Rotarians committed to Service Above Self, our club is working together with Rotary partners, local authorities, and community networks to provide timely and effective assistance to vulnerable families. We humbly invite your Rotary Club to join this humanitarian effort through support and collaboration to help bring relief and hope to those who need it most. For more information about our relief efforts and ways to support, please visit: https://www.rcdhulikhelshikhalapur.org/appeal We are committed to transparency and accountability and will provide regular updates, photographs, and reports on relief activities supported through your contribution. Your support, regardless of the size, will make a meaningful difference to families who have lost their homes, livelihoods, and sense of security. Together, through the global spirit of Rotary friendship and service, we can help Nepal recover and rebuild. Thank you for standing with the people of Nepal during this difficult time. We look forward to the opportunity to work together."
