Melanie Grevis-James: The Untamed Amazon, Endless Adventure Wests Rugby Union
The presentation will include an overview of Suriname - a fascinating developing nation in South America, with a diverse ethnic heritage. Hear about its amazing wildlife and Amazon rainforest; and the challenges and opportunities of assisting an undeveloped nation with developing their tourism industry. Melanie’s presentation will include first-hand anecdotes and photos of her project undertaken for The Government of Suriname and The World Bank.

Compassionate Friends is an international organisation Founded in England in 1969, dedicated to providing friendship, understanding and support to families following the death of a child, sibling or grandchild. it is an international network, with Queensland in 1985. At the heart of its work is a simple but powerful principle: bereaved people supporting other bereaved people through shared understanding and lived experience. It provides a range of services including support meetings, one-to-one and telephone support, grief resources, workshops, seminars and gatherings, helping people navigate what can be one of life's most profound and difficult experiences.
