Rotary is a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian service, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations, and helps build goodwill and peace in the world.  Approximately 1.2 million Rotarians belong to more than 32,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas.

The purpose of a Rotary Club is to encourage and foster the ideal of services. Here is a snapshot of a few recent Grand Blanc Rotary Club projects:

  • Contribute towards the purchase of heart defibrillator units for both the Grand Blanc City and Township Police Departments for emergency assistance.
  • Annually award 2 Grand Blanc High School students the Gregory L. Crane Rotary Scholarship and the Clarence W. Hill Rotary Scholarship.
  • Hold an Annual Pancake Breakfast which provides funds for the Grand Blanc Little League and Youth Programs offered through Grand Blanc Parks and Recreation.
  • Raised funds for improvements to Rust Park, Physicians Park and Creasey Bicentennial Park.
  • Held an Art Auction to raise funds for the construction of the Rotary Sliding Hill and warming building at Creasey Bicentennial Park.
  • Raise funds for the Mexico VOSH Eye Program with the Burton Rotary Club.
  • Sponsor several students for the Seminar for Tomorrow’s Leaders which combines lectures and discussions on career knowledge international understanding and service opportunities with small group leadership and team development experience and exercises.  The program has been designed only for 11th and 12th grade students who have already shown leadership interest and skills.
