The Rotary Club of Flushing was pleased to present to Flushing Community Schools a check for $2,500 to benefit the School’s Literacy programs at their morning meeting on Thursday May 3, 2018. The Rotary club was able to donate these funds from the proceeds collected through their 7th Annual HUGE Indoor Garage and Craft sale held at Flushing Middle School April 21st. The garage sale which has been growing every year has donated nearly $10,000 to the literacy programs at the Flushing Community Schools to date. This year’s sale had more than 75 vendors and over 1,200 shoppers come through the door. The Rotary Club has set the date for the 8th annual sale to be April 27th 2019. Accepting the check on behalf of the Flushing Community Schools is Andrew Schmidt, Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction.
