Opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by an invocation from Margaret stressing the importance of life service not lip service.  Guests today included Al Jensen, Abby Bardwick, Joe and Amy Stone.

Trivia:  What was the first gift, year and amount given by the Rotary Foundation   (this was a tough one…) in 1929, $500.00 was given to the International Society for crippled children.

Happy Bucks:

Jim Clark is happy to be almost 100% in the shoulder again, and is looking forward to the cleanup day at Jefferson Playground this Tuesday June, 10th.  Jennifer is delighted to announce her daughters graduation and so proud that she ships out on July 7th.  Larry wanted to inform all that Heather Graham will be speaking this Monday at the City Club.  Bobby Clay acknowledged an amazing performance by the Hellgate Choir, and Gordie Campbell is looking forward to a Father’s day in Vegas in which lots of adult beverages will be consumed I am sure… Bill St. John has been promoted at MFCU!  Way to go Billy… much deserved.  And Dave Bardwick had money to throw in the pot for Abby as this might be her last visit to Rotary as a high school student.  Eran is delighted to only be working part time for the month of June, and Susan Hay Patrick is leaving on a trip to Cambodia.  Mike Bullard was pleased to announce a 50% plus increase of participation for the Missoula Mile held last week.  Gayle is pleased to have her daughter home for the summer, and Lou survived the Tour of the Swan.

Don’t forget the 25th anniversary celebration on the 25th, and the Celebration of Marshall Delano’s life will be held June 13th.
