President Margaret Parson called the meeting to order at 7:30a.m.

Jim Clark gave the invocation.

Yesterday was Carl’s 25th Rotary Anniversary.

Visitors included George from Libby club, Laura, Larry’s wife, Rhonda came with Jennifer, Sahar came to listen to our speaker with Margot.

Rusty bucks: Jim Clark for the cubs and will be gone for a couple of weeks. Gayle had two bucks-October is over and surprised her son in Florida for his birthday. Susan Hay-Patrick is happy to be back to Rotary after a 4-week absence and had to borrow the speakers phone to find hers. Brian had dinner with George Gerard and his wife and discussed the Guatemala water project and had great fellowship. David for the sake of Rusty bucks. Larry helped Laura find her phone and mentioned there was an app for that. Betsy for the world series and a buck for Rusty because her husband’s name is Rusty. Lisa is happy because the dictionary project is completed. Dick mentioned the dinner with George and the progress of the Guatemala project. Matt Doucette got an award recognizing him as a promoter of Missoula. Brandon for his dad’s birthday and world series for the Cleveland.

Carl gave the Rotary Minute. 27 cases of polio still reported in the world. He discussed the rezoning of Rotary districts every 10 years. Overall Rotarians are shrinking in members.

Susan introduced Gwen Florio, a journalist who has quite a list of prestigious accolades behind her name. She is now the city editor of the Missoulian. She read a couple of paragraphs from her book that is coming out in March called Reservations. She also discussed her thinking and writing process.

Margaret presented our speaker with a Rotary token containing the 4-way test and mentioned the addition of her name to our dictionary project. The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 a.m. after the 4-way test was recited.
