Saturday was an important day for our Rotary Club. It was a day of Anniversaries for Steve, Lisa and Joe. Yesterday was Hugh’s birthday.
 
Susan brought us to date on fundraising. A Monte Carlo night is on the horizon in March of 2018. Tentatively the 9th of March. Also a ½ day seminar on 4-way test ethics and global leadership and diversity at April 6th;
 
Happy Bucks: Hugh is happy to be here; Susan is happy that John Dolinsek is here and is safe from the fires of California; Arnie’s youngest Emma helped rebuild the house on the Gallagher house 8 years ago and she is now doing her nursing internship at the Gallagher house; Curt is happy to be back from hunting; Brandon presented a Buzz Points check to Susan for the fire fighters: Lisa has only 10 more days of work; Matt S has won 3 weeks of fantasy football; Mark Thane for Andrew at Fresh Market was a sponsor for Empower Montana and Mark thanked him; Matt D talked about his daughter’s involvement  in ethics and he passed his securities exam; Bardwick is happy that John is safe and he makes us all think of Rusty’; Udo and his family adopted a 6 month old beagle and this is their first family pet;
 
John Dolinsek spoke about the fires in Santa Rosa California and gave us an update on that. He also updated us on the Rusty Lockner essay contest and will keep us informed as the essays come in.
 
Curt spoke about October being Polio month. The noon club is doing a fundraiser for polio eradication. They are doing an apple pie fundraiser. Jim Hutchison from the noon club gave more details. Buy a pie for Rotary International, “End Polio Now” in the memo. Write check to Rotary International. Give the money to your own club treasurer.
 
Carl had eye surgery today so please think great thoughts and prayers for Carl.
 
Susan introduced our speakers Amy Thompson and Theresa Williams who are involved in Reaching Home, an organization to end homelessness in Missoula within 10 years.
 
The speakers were presented with Rotary coins stating the 4way test and a mention in the dictionary project. The 4-way test was recited and the meeting was adjourned at 8:30 a.m.
