President Margaret Parson called the meeting to order at 7:30 a.m.

Happy Bucks: Adam, Jim Clark, Hugh Jesse all contributed happy bucks but I didn’t have my computer turned on in time to get the details. Lisa is happy because the dictionaries are here. Paul Sepp happy about his 50th high school reunion. Heidi gave a thank you to Andrew for his crossing guard work. Cynthia had a great cruise because the ship had no internet. It was truly a vacation.
Trivia: What are the 8 juices in V8? Tomato, spinach, celery, carrot, beet, lettuce, watercress and parsley.
Matt Brown’s birthday coming up. And so is Hugh’s.
Rotary Anniversaries: Matt Brown, Steve Clawson, and Joe .All one year. And Lisa Holcomb’s 7 year anniversary is coming up.
Rotary Minute by Carl. Oct 24th is the International Polio Day. Zone institute will be on the 25th of this month in Salt Lake City. Great Education experience. International convention is in Atlanta and is the 100th anniversary of the Rotary International.
The new dictionary made its way around and will be distributed to third graders this month. November 16th is going to be the Thanksgiving Breakfast at the Missoula College.
Amy sent around sign-up sheet for pumpkin carving. She passed around thank you cards from the partnership with the kids for all the different events we have done with them this year.
Dick introduced our speaker Paul from the Bureau of Business and Economic Research. Paul Polson, Missoula’s slow growth from 2000-2014 is partially because of the loss of the wood products industry. Trade center competition is not as prominent as it was before. Other cities are competing as trade centers. This is occurring all over the state. University declining enrollment.
Margaret presented Paul with the Rotary Coin with the 4 way test.
