Steve Clawson moved into a new home and business travel has calmed down so we will see him more of him.

Cynthia’s birthday on July 4, Jim on July 19 and Gayle on July 30th.
 
Amy gave the Rotary Minute-reflected on the relationship of Sunrise Club with the youth that we support.
 
Brian presented Paul Harris awards to Susan Hay-Patrick, Lisa Holcomb and Dick King. Pin for Dick and Tove, Lisa pin and certificate and Susan her third Paul Harris pin.
 
Matt D presented a power point of the Hiawatha trail event from the past weekend.. Joe thanked the Rotarians that helped out with the event. Special thanks to Andrew and Fresh Market for stepping up to the plate for some lunches prepared by the market for the event. It was a beautiful day and awesome event.
 
Mike Darrington gave his classification talk. He also brought his wife. Starting a business here. Thanked Betsy for her endorsement and friendship. From Minnesota. Youngest of 4 kids. Carrie is his wife. Mike is no stranger to service organizations. Mike is a financial advisor. Service is important to Mike. Drawn to Sunrise because of the friendliness and kind welcoming of the club.
 
Lisa passed around a sign up sheet for partnership for children at Cynthia’s pool party on August 5th. August 13th Habitat for Humanity hands on project with Rotary participation. 
 
Dawn was our speaker for WACENA which stands for Women and Children’s Empowerment Network in Africa. This organization empowers women and children in Uganda. Shared a slide show for a project that they did in 2015. They were able to bring two wells and a non-profit status to WACENA Uganda.
