Happy Bucks: Larry is leaving for Denver tomorrow to his son and museums; Jennifer’s daughter finished the semester in flying colors and she and her boyfriend are coming to visit; Gordy wants to know who has heard of the app Venmo and app HG and it is a trivia app for money; Jim for the Buffalo National River in Arkansas that he floated and then tomorrow he is going to the Smith River floating and finally for the Missoula Education Foundation fundraiser; Margaret was a mechanical widow on Saturday but her and Chad will be boat people this summer; Curt for the Smith River and Jim got a new RV and he also mentioned the Wild Game Feed coming up and please sign up; Lisa is happy about almost being done for the service committee for the year and she thanked Larry and Claire, and Carl and his wife finished painting the bike shelter, Brian brought beer, and Gordy came to help drink the beer and thanked the people for planting trees, a highway cleanup coming up in June; John will be going hiking up to Mission Falls and is on the board of the Sanders County Arts Council and is looking for support for that group; Cynthia’s grandson graduated from the University and this weekend her granddaughter is graduating from High School and going to attend Lewis and Clark College in Portland, OR; Mike B. for bike for shelter at Watson’s Children Center, he is leaving next week to go see his 4 grand kids; Betsy thanked Margaret for filling in for her next week and her niece is taking her to the Chris Young concert and she did Bloomsday with her other niece; and she is chairing the district position of Peace and Mediation.

Announcements: Mary Moe is looking for new for the District Newsletter. Today is the 101st anniversary of Rotary in Missoula and the noon club is having a celebration; Next Wednesday is the social hour with the other clubs at Imagination Brewery. Sandy has help arrange a float trip with the kids in August on the 11th. Highway cleanup date is to be announced.

Susan introduced our speaker Caroline Patterson, a writer of short stories. She also teaches fiction at U of M.

Betsy presented Caroline with the Rotary coin with the 4-way test on it and a mention in the dictionary project.
