Betsy also circulated a card for us to sign to send to Amy Young, who had her baby -- Magnolia Mae -- on January 24.  Congratulations!

Visitors: Udo Fluck brought his daughter Larissa, who is selling Girl Scout cookies, AND who offered her to review her favorites with us if we were undecided.  You can buy cookies for yourself OR you can buy some to donate to veterans through the Hometown Heroes program.

Lisa Robinson was a guest of Jenni Graff's.  Lisa, a former Rotarian in College Station, TX,  thanked us and Jenni for a warm welcome to Missoula.

Laura Brehm, was her husband Larry's guest.

Happy Bucks:  Brandon Naasz dedicated his GO EAGLES cheer to Matt Doucette.  OUCH!  Matt -- a good sport! -- said the Super Bowl was "very entertaining." Betsy put in a dollar because "it's a good week to be from Philadelphia!"

Lisa Holcomb and Brenda Thayer are both leaving for Hawaii. Don't worry about ME while I slave away over the Rotary minutes in grey and damp Missoula, ladies!!!  Betsy leaves this week for Vancouver, and her first RI international event which is, fittingly, a peace conference!

Sandy Bollum's son wrote her a beautiful card on HIS birthday -- proud and happy mama!

Jenni announced that the company Class Pass was so impressed by Missoula that they're opening a development operations office here.

Laura Brehm is very excited because she and Larry are taking their grandson to Disneyland without his parents, just the three of them!

Bardwick reported that Karen -- with her broken foot -- has graduated to a cane.  Progress!  He is ALSO excited because daughter Abby is returning from Hawaii!

Chris Warden circulated the beautiful flier he developed for A Way Other Than Our Own, our April 26 seminar based on the 4-Way Test and led by Udo.  Be sure to mark your calendars for "AWOTOO" and encourage others to attend!
Chris also reported on the Rotary Centennial Park legacy project.  The local Rotary clubs are looking at the waterwise garden past the Missoulian, on 4th St. The park is now owned by the city, which is looking for a partner to maintain it. It's a possible site for a monument to the 4-Way Test.  Gayle Carlson reported that she had seen a beautiful Rotary park by the riverfront in Little Rock.

Dick King read a funny letter from an old friend in Minneapolis, noting that no visitors had frozen during the Super Bowl in the "NORTH."  (Minnesota now wants to be identified as being in the NORTH, not the midwest.)

Betsy liked ideas submitted by club members during the business meeting last week, including holding off-site meetings, having more business speakers, and having a parade presence.

Jenni gave the Rotaryry Minute and talked about the current RI photo contest:  https://www.rotary.org/en/90-years-rotarian-photo-contest.  Deadline is February 15, so get busy!

Our speaker was Kelly Rosenleaf, longtime executive director of Child Care Resources, who educated us about the importance of strong early childhood development.
