Happy Bucks: John made two stop lights this morning, Steelers lost on Sunday but they did it with dignity, Gary will be gone in sunny California last week; Betsy and Dick were at the social event with the noon club and she also attended the basketball game with the kids; Jennifer putting in a buck for Gary taking her daughter out when in California; Arnie’s daughter went with him to 5 on Black a year ago and they met Kirsten who told them about CASA and now Katy has been involved with this program for over a year; Dick followed up Udo’s Rotary Minute last week with an article from the Rotarian Magazine; Joe thanking Lowes and Home Depot for storage bins for the kids homes; Larry mentioned that his wifes twin sister is involved in CASA in Polson; He and his wife are also going to LA next week.

Announcements: Basketball social on January 25th with the other Rotary Clubs; John and Lisa both had birthdays this month and some Rotary anniversaries; Carl talked about RYLA and getting and talking to students for the program; Carl is on the committee for the new Wheeler Foundation in conjunction with the Glacier International Peace Park. The purpose is to support the prBoject that is going to be on the former Wheeler property in Glacier Park.

Jennifer gave the Rotary Minute.

Andrew introduced our speaker, who is with CASA Kirsten Vorreyer. Kristen contacted us after this meeting to make some clarifications. She told the story of a couple of girls whose having difficulties. She wanted us to know that these two girls were adopted into a wonderful family. She also stated that there were 7 CASA programs in the state. She later corrected that to 15.

Betsy rewarded Kirsten with a rotary coin stating the 4-way test and also a mention in the dictionary project for 3rd graders.
