Rotarian Joel Brint, guest speaker on September 3,

Our own Rotarian Joel was a very eloquent speaker last Wednesday. His topic was the Israeli and Palestinian conflict. Since the Israeli Independence and the search for peace,  by both entities. Having lived there, and participating first hand in the struggle for both countries to acquire statehood was a very emotional experience. Joel explained how the two wars with the Arab states was a challenge for Israel. Being a smaller country they had to use all their know-how to try to safeguard their independence. It was an excellent presentation and very well received by the Rotarians and guests. All attendees received maps of Israel and Jerusalem from Joel.

 

We only hope that eventually a final peace accord will be reached, thus giving the chance to both countries, and their people, to live in peace and prosper.
