PRESIDENT'S CORNER
President John Webster called the meeting to order at 12:32 and welcomed the guests who came to our special Valentine's meeting today.
SERGEANT-AT-ARMS / GUESTS
Guests at the meeting on Feb. 13th were: Donna Swayze guest of Neil; Doug Rielly guest of Mary; Judy Doyle guest of Jim Phillips; Judy Proctor guest of Bill; and Jill Melanson guest of Adrian DeCoo,  Welcome All!
BELL RINGER(S)
President John recognized the members of the Social Committee - Mary Rielly, John Frezell and Susana Jimenez for preparing today's program and for the terrific decorations and atmosphere in the room for our Valentine's Day meeting.
PRESIDENT'S WINE QUIZ
The Question: When and in what city is the District Assembly / Club Leadership Training event being held?
The Answer: Saturday, April 22 at the Holiday Inn in Cambridge.
50/50 DRAW
Our 50/50 Draw pot continues to grow and is now at $581 and none of Jim Phillips, Doug Rielly, nor Donna Swayze were able to find the Jack of Hearts so it will be even larger next week.
HAPPY JAR
Adrian DeCoo was happy to have have his new friend Jill Melanson inducted today.  He was also pleased to report that our President-Elect Dave Chatson is actually trainable as he had a good day at the President-Elect Training seminar on Saturday where Adrian was one of the presenters.  Adrian also thanked the other members from our club - Pat Dimeck, Howard Pell, Bill Proctor, and Darren Sweeney for their work in assisting with the event as well.  Editor's Note:  Dave is a Past President of the Bellville Club so he had a decided advantage!

Mary Rielly was pleased to have her husband Doug attend as a guest today.  She was also pleased that, even though their truck exploded for no apparent reason, the explosion and subsequent fire did not get to their propane tank, gas tank or wood pile.

Susana Jimenez is very pleased to be back in town.  She was pleased to report that her critically ill Father's wish to be home for Christmas was realized and that most of the family were able to change or make last minute plans to be in Mexico together with him.  She was most thankful for the tremendous good will that was evident during the event and expressed appreciation for the sympathy card that was sent from the club.

CLUB ANNOUNCEMENTS
President John announced that the work to create our Satellite Club is developing well.  We look forward to having some new members join our club in the near future.

Neil Swayze announced that our next T.E.A.M. social (Tuesday Evening Alcoholic Mingling) will be on February 21, TONIGHT, flowing the Family Day Holiday at the Duke of Wellington.  If we get enough participants there will be a draw for a $20 LCBO Gift Card.

On behalf of the travelling Howard, Neil had a sign up sheet passed around for folks to indicate an interest in helping pout at the AYR Bacon festival that is raising money for KidsAbility.

Brent DeKoning provided an update from Hubert, via a text message, who, along with 14 other Rotarians are currently returning from a National Immunization day in Mexico. Hubert reported that all went well and they have developed some great connections and friendships with Rotarians from Coborca.

James Brown reminded members of the new feature to be added to our In Vino Caritas event this year where we are going to auction off two barrels of wine with 50 bottles in each!  One will be a silent auction item and one a live auction item.  The barrels have been donated and now we just need the wine!  Each member is asked to contribute two bottles to fill the barrels.  He also confirmed that there will be an open house at the home of James and Linda on February 26 between 2:00 and 6:00 with lots of wine and hors d'oeuvres.  The the admission fee will be one bottle of wine per person to start filling the wheel barrows.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

Our program today was in celebration of Valentine's Day presented by the Social Committee.  Each table was presented with a scrambled quotation related to the theme of love and relationships.  The teams had to unscramble the quotations and determine the author.  The quotations used were the following.

"it is not the lack of love that makes unhappy marriage, but the lack of friendship." Friedrich Nietzche

"Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage." Lao Tzu

"The greatest happiness of life is the conviction that we are loved.  Loved for ourselves, or rather in spite of ourselves." Victor Hugo

"The heart wants what it wants.  There is no logic to these things.  You meet someone and you fall in love and that's that."  Woody Allen
