Vote for the Rotary Sunrise Video on Facebook
Submitted by Communications

Click here to view the videos entered into the Rotary District 7020 Video Competition. Check out the Rotary Sunrise video and cast your vote for your favourite today!

While there are just a few entrants now, check back often to see new videos added to the page. We are very excited that for the first time, we will be holding a ballot at the District Conference, for Conference Choice, together with online voting, for Rotarians' Choice. The judging team will also select a winning entry, Judges' Choice, to balance out the fact that some clubs and countries have much larger membership than others and could sway the voting.

Good luck to all! The entries are awesome - well done!!

District Public Image Chair

If the room looks a little less crowded this week, it's because several of our Rotarian friends are in Montego Bay, Jamaica for this year's District 7020 PETS, Assembly & Conference.  Half Moon Resort is the scene where more than 700 Rotarians have arrived from the US Virgin Islands, the British Virgin Islands, Bahamas, St. Marin, St. Maarten, Anguilla, St. Bartholomew, Haiti, Jamaica and beyond.  We are looking forward to hearing more about the conference at future meetings, but be sure to monitor our Facebook and Twitter feeds for any posts... and maybe a fun photo or two!

It's Changeover Night - the time when we have the changing of the guard from President Kim to incoming President Christine. The evening is an opportunity for members and their guests to celebrate the accomplishments of the current Rotary year and look forward to the upcoming year.
To help us celebrate, Vico and the team at Pappagallo have put together a wonderful evening for us with a welcome glass of "bubbly," and a 3 course meal with wine.

There will also be the installation of the 2015/16 Board of the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman Sunrise and recognition of the 'Rookie of the Year' and the 'Rotarian of the Year' as well as other surprises!

Rotaract Auction 2015
Submitted by Rotaract Club of Grand Cayman

The Rotaract Club of Grand Cayman is super excited to invite all Rotarians interested in mentoring or learning about Rotaract to the Lights, Camera, Auction: Rotaract Bid 2015 which is happening on Saturday, 23 May 2015 at the George Town Yacht Club from 6:30pm to 9:30pm.

This event is a fun and new way for Rotaractors to learn more about Rotary and what Rotary has to offer.  It is also a fun way for Rotarians to learn more about us Rotaractors.  Of course, it is also a way for us to raise some funds for the Club, but it is truly a way to showcase what we do as individuals and as Rotaractors.  Rotarians will get a chance to bid on a Rotaractor on the night of 23 May 23.  They will be paired with a fun activity for both of them to do (e.g., coffee or a lunch).  This is our unique way of "bridging the gap."  Rotaractors may also have a chance to gain a mentor from this experience as their outing will be a casual way for the Rotarian and the Rotaractor to learn more about each other and their Clubs.

Heavy Hors d'oeuvres
Cash Bar
Semi-Formal
Open to all Rotarians
$25 per ticket

Finishing Strong: Car Raffle & Casino Royale
Submitted from Communications

We are ending the 2014-15 year with a One-Two punch: the two big fundraising events that ensure we will have the resources to serve our community and our missions in 2015-16.  Thank you for stepping up as we seek new opportunities for Rotarians to promote the car raffle and Casino Royale on 6 June.

Car Raffle - If you have credit card slips, please turn them in to J.D. Mosley-Matchett.  It's also a good idea to turn in your cash early rather than waiting.  And, of course, Steve Sohoki appreciates everyone continuing to sign up for ticket selling shifts and keeping their commitments (or finding a substitute if your plans change).

Casino Royale - We will need lots of prizes to ensure our Casino Royale is a success.  Everyone has been asked to supply a prize or prizes worth at least $50. And if you haven't yet secured a volunteer shift for that night, please fill in the sign-up sheets as they make the rounds.
