So, is Benign a word?
It was Scrabble madness last week as Rotarians Su Mander and Ferlyn Heyne once again brought the game to Sunrise. Our Rotaractors expertly led the way through the morning, infecting us with their high energy. Many thanks to all who participated, and congratulations to the winners. They are as follows:

Mentorship Meeting
Tuesday evening is once again our monthly mentorship meeting where our Rotary Club mentors Rotaractors. PP Christine hosts at her home: 99 Nelson Quay.
The November Fellowship and Mentoring evening is all about insurance. Rotarian Nigel Twohey the Deputy Managing Director of AON is the guest speaker. Rotarian Nigel is an expert on the insurance industry and will be able to explain all of the different types of insurance and explain insurance terminology to help you better understand your insurance policies.
As usual there will be food and drink and lots of opportunity for fellowship between Sunrise and our Rotaract Club members.

On Friday 9 December St. Ignatius school is having a Civy day to support Sarah Harrison, who is in year 10 and is currently fighting Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. She was at Baptist hospital when I was up in Miami and I visited with her a few times. She is a great kid I have known for some time through swimming and school.
ITA will purchase one T Shirt for each of you. If you want to purchase any additional you can do so, just let Barbara Oosterwyk know. The cost is $15 per T Shirt.
Friday Fellowship at Brooklyn Pizza
Happy Hour at Brooklyn's was a fine Friday affair with many in our club turning out to celebrate not only the end of the week, but the continuing fellowship with Rotary friends.
October is Economic and Community Development Month
Rotaract Blue will be having its 3rd Annual Vivid Ultra Exclusive Glow Party on the 15th of October at Barolo lounge. Tickets are $15CI and you can obtain your ticket from any Rotaract Blue member.

Make-ups: In addition to make-up opportunities at Rotary Sunrise, you can make up absences at another Club in Grand Cayman. The meeting times and places for the other Clubs are:
Rotaract Blue:
Wednesdays 6:00 pm at Royal Palms Beach Club Restaurant.
Rotaract Club of Grand Cayman: meets at 7 a.m., Champion House
Rotary Club of Grand Cayman: Thursdays 12:15 for 12:30pm, The Westin hotel ballroom.

If members are unable to make a regular weekly meeting or Rotary event, make-ups can be done online. The e-Club website is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You just need to spend a minimum of 30 minutes on the site and answer some questions to get the make up certificate.
Traveling: If you are going to be traveling for an extended period of time (more than two weeks), be sure to let the Secretary know and remember to submit any make-ups you do in a timely manner.
