The Rotary Grace

O God and giver
of all good,

We thank thee for
our daily food.

May Rotary friends
and Rotary ways,

Help us to serve thee
all our days.
The 4-Way Test

Of the things we
think, say, or do:

Is it the truth?

Is it fair to all concerned?

Will it build goodwill
and better friendships?

Will it be beneficial
to all concerned?
T'was Fun Celebrating Membership Month
Submitted by the Communications Committee

As we near the end of celebrating Membership Month, we are happy that guests and past Rotarians were able to join us. The weekly meetings were filled to encourage membership, foster camaraderie and build partnerships and each week there was an activity or 'surprise' for those in attendance.

Below are some of the things we did if you missed it:
Ice breaker - "People Bingo" - Members had to network around the room to fill bingo cards with a name of a member or guest present at the meeting who matches the description in the square.

"Brown Paper Bag" arts & crafts - We brought out the creative side in some of our members and guests as this activity promoted our partnership with Rotaract Club of Grand Cayman in support of their monthly lunch program in the Cayman Community Rehabilitation Program.

Festive decor - Each meeting was decorated with celebration balloons and table confetti stars to help get members and guests into the celebration mood for the month.

Fellowship Happy Hour event – Hosted by Michael's Genuine, this was the first fellowship for the Rotary new year and boasted 33 people in total. Those in attendance included members, spouses, kids, Rotaract members (from both clubs) and an honorary Rotarian.

Diversity Map - To show how diverse our club is, a world map was was set up at two meetings to encourage members to plot their gender pin on a world map of where they were born.

Donations Needed for Honduras Trip
Submitted by International Service

International Service is requesting donations of toothbrushes (both adult and children) and toothpaste for their upcoming trip to Honduras. They are also asking for donations of hurricane supplies (batteries of all sizes) garbage bags, band-aids, tarps, flashlights, as well as any baby/children/adult clothing in good condition. Each passenger travelling on Cayman Airways is entitled to bring 2 bags each weighing 55 lbs so we should have sufficient room for supplies.

Bring your donations each week before the end of September. If you have any questions contact Rotarian Pat Steward.
