Casino Night is one week away and we need everyone's support to make sure this is a successful, well executed event. A lot of work has been done so far and I thank you for your efforts. I note there are 22 Rotarians either off island or not able to attend the event for one reason or another. Even though you will not be at the event we still need your support as a member/Rotarian. We need silent auction prizes and we need you to contact everyone in your rolodex/smart phone to buy a ticket for the event. Perhaps you know someone who likes to volunteer and would help out on the night in your absence. That would be very helpful and considerate.
We are looking for a minimum of 300 people to attend. Tony Cowell has graciously purchased 50 tickets once again providing the seed capital to move this project forward. He has also been instrumental in soliciting Lions Productions to do a first class job on the décor. Perry still needs a few blackjack dealers and runners and Christine needs a few more volunteers to help out with specific things on Saturday.
At this stage the main thrust will be your ability to sell tickets. I look at it from a sales perspective. For every ten people I contact, 3 may be interested and out of those 3 I might get 1 sale. That means you need to contact a heck of a lot of people.
I'm optimistic we will get to our number but really need your support and effort this week in making miracles happen.
I know I can count on you!!
Yours in Rotary,
President Kim
