Thousands of children living in a few remote areas in just three countries in the world are yet to be immunized against the polio virus. If these children are not reached quickly then many would become paralyzed or die and the spread of the virus can affect neighboring villages and countries.

Rotarians and partners have helped immunize more than 2 billion children against polio in 122 countries and have reduced the polio cases by 99 percent worldwide since its first project in 1979 . For as little as $0.60, a child can be protected against this crippling disease for life.

President Dhallchand Seeram and members of the Rotary Club of Cayman would like to thank all residents for their generous donations placed in the collection tins in the supermarkets, hospital and hotels.  This is an ongoing project and this month your contribution of US $250. 00 was paid to the Polio Plus Foundation.
