The Rotary Club of Tortola organized a successful service project in painting the entire exterior of the British Virgin Islands Red Cross building which was completed this month.

Participating in the project were five Rotarians that painted the lower section of the building, the fence and small section of the upper floor.  The service project’s success is due to the hard work of Rotarians along with the generous donations of supplies and $1,000. The BVI Red Cross provided the paint, while Rotarians Robert Creel and John Shirley donated paint brushes, rollers, ladders and water.  The service project was led by Rotarian Gregory Massicot who donated the $1,000 for the hiring of a professional painter to complete the upper section of the building which was hard reached.  Once again the Rotary Club of Tortola has successfully completed another service project with the BVI Red Cross, a recognised global voluntary network that responds to conflicts, natural disasters and individual emergencies.
