The Youth Empowerment Project was today examined by DG Patrick Adizua and members of the BVI Rotary family.
AG Elvis Harrigan, Presidents Lynette Harrigan and Vincent Wheatley and Public Image Director Mitsy Ellis-Simpson and other Rotarians visited the Youth Empowerment Project (YEP) in Fat Hog’s Bay with our 7020 District Governor Patrick Adizua this morning. The family of Rotarians received a tour of the compound in which Director Stacy Mather of YEP briefed us on the activities and plans for the future. Our Yeppies are in a good, solid and learning environment doing several activities ranging from art and craft to sports. Director Mather states that it’s a place for our children to develop self confidence and learn in a nourishing environment. YEP has been an ongoing partnership project for the Rotary Club of Tortola from its inception which we are very proud of its achievements. Rotary will continue to support YEP and youth development on a whole in the British Virgin Islands. This month is economic and community development which is one of the six main areas of focus for Rotary.
