Rotarians, Rotaractors and Interactors played victims of a simulated airplane crash at the Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport on Wednesday, December 10. (Photo caption: "Injured" victims at the simulation excersise are rescued by fire officers)

The event, organized by the BVI Airports Authority, was designed to test the readiness of emergency response agencies to a potential mass casualty event at the airport.

Volunteers were given false identities and roles to play during the simulation. For example, some Rotarians were designated as "dead", while others were given specific injuries. Injuried victims were dressed up and given make-up to make the excersise more realistic.

Rotary was pleased by the opportunity to held the airport and all the BVI emergency response agencies test their readiness to respond to a major incident of this kind.
