Barefoot to Boardroom - Dr. Higgs' Autobiography

Dr. Higgs received his BA Degree from Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska, his MS degree from Northern Illinois University, and his Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, Nebraska. 

 

He has had extensive administrative and teaching experiences at both the two- and four-year college and university levels.  He has served as the Secretary General for The Bahamas National Commission for UNESCO. He is also the former Director of Higher Education and Lifelong Learning at the Ministry of Education.  Dr. Higgs is a former President of The College of The Bahamas.  He has served as the Director of Training, for The Bahamas Government, Assistant General Manager/Human Resources, Water and Sewerage Corporation, Executive Vice President at San Bernardino Valley College in California, Dean of Business and Office Administration at Riverside Community College in California and Divisional Chair of Business and Information Systems at Oakwood College in Huntsville, Alabama.  He also served as the Business Division Chair at the College of The Bahamas and as Assistant Professor of Business at Loma Linda University in California.

 

Dr. Higgs has participated and made presentations at various conventions and, workshops and conferences in the United States, The Bahamas the Caribbean and Europe.

 

In September 2017, Dr. Higgs published his Autobiography, “Barefoot to Boardroom.”  The book is available at local bookstores in Nassau, and at Amazon.com.
