President Pat Mc Coy -As he arrived at his Demotion Party
_____________________________________________________________
President Pat had no idea what was in store for him as he arrived at his "Demotion Party".  He was surrounded by family and friends who joined him that evening to congratulate him on his successful Rotary year.

The Degenerates, in their usual fashion, planned a dignified, somber Demotion Party program for President PatWell, maybe not so dignified.

President Pat???......
The evening began with a cocktail hour and fellowship by fellow Rotarians and guests.  Attendees had a photo op as they arrived. (A few are pictured below).

President Pat arrived quite confused as he noticed the attendees were dressed in 'red-neck' outfits.  Later in the program, after dinner, he soon found out why, as he was outfitted with his own "outfit". (see above)

DEMOTION PROGRAM: Judy St. John began the evening by welcoming everyone and explaining the history behind the club's 'Demotion' of the outgoing President.

Karen Furnari then led the club in a not so "inspirational moment"; After which, guests were then invited to enjoy dinner.

After dinner, Judy explained to everyone that the Rotary Club is very diverse. She, for instance was the first woman president. She explained " we have dentists, doctors, financial advisors, bankers, lawyers, real estate agents and so on.  We also have made the effort to bring in a cross section of members who represent different ethnicities found in our broader community.  And now this year with Pat McCoy’s presidency, we have achieved a new diversity milestone!    Pat McCoy” ............ is our first Irish President!!"

She then went on to explain that Pat is actually part of the Irish Mc Coys that immigrated to the US and settled in Appalachia where they became famous for their feud with the Hatfields which continues today.

So given that we are a Peace Building Club, it was decided once and for all to see if a lasting peace could be forged to this longstanding feud.  What better way than to duel it out in a rousing game of "THE THOUSAND OAKS ROTARY FAMILY FEUD".

With that, David Masci, was introduced as the game show host, and the competition ensued.  The "Feud" continued for several rounds as the contestants battled to see who could answer the questions and gain the most points.

In the end..... the Mc Coy's were victorious.  David then congratulated Pat on his victory and on his year as the Thousand Oaks Rotary President and asked Past President Patricia Jones to present out-going First Lady Naomi with a congratulatory and thank you bouquet of flowers.
