__________________________________________________________________
President Darin opened the meeting welcoming everyone to the best Rotary club in the universe and said there is a lot to accomplish in the month of June before turning the reins over to Michelle in July.

Inspirational Moment – Keith Wintermute's inspirational moment was about the 4-Way Test's saying " Is it Fair to All Concerned".  He said fairness can sometimes be subjective and people have a tendency to only see 'their' side as fair.  He encouraged everyone to see beyond their own personal views and step outside of themselves.  He led the room in the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by Michael Ladd leading everyone in My Country Tis of Thee.

Introduction of Guests by Trevor Tyloch -Martin Anderson's wife-Elaine, Pat Mc Coy's wife-Naomi, Michelle Nash's son-Eddie, Pat Hanley's daughter-Mary.  From the Rotary Club of Ojai-Jack Jacobs.

BECOMING A ROTARIAN IS A MEANINGFUL EXPERIENCE....

Invite a friend, family member, colleague to join Rotary.

Encourage Them to Be Part of Something GREAT!!!

Why wouldn’t you want them to be part of an organization that feeds the hungry, cures the sick, provides education to women and children, provides clean water and sanitation.   And now is taking on the environment.

PROGRAM: Steve Stanley came forward to present the John Conlon Award which has been presented to a member of the community, who embodies the Rotary motto of Service Above Self, since 1998.  This year's recipient is Edgar Thatcher from Manna. Edgar said he learned life lessons from his parents who he said always had a positive attitude and a great sense of humor.  They taught him to "always do your best", "treat others like you want to be treated", " always say what you mean and mean what you say" , "finish what you start" and "always leave things better than when you found them".

Rotarian that was extremely involved in the community and making it a better place.  The award was established to recognize the best of the best Rotarians in Group 4.  This year's recipient is our own-Martin Anderson.  Martin said this award above any he has ever received is the most personal, he knew Otto Stoll and he is grateful to receive his award.  He said this club has given him back far more than he has given.
