President Pat Mc Coy - "Welcome Family, Neighbors and Wonderful Young People"
_____________________________________________________________
President Pat opened the meeting to a packed house; telling all of the attendees that the Rotary Club of Thousand Oaks is the oldest Rotary Club in the Conejo Valley, having originated in 1958.

Pres Pat let the Rotarians know that Hugo Roche, who has taken a medical leave of absence from the club, is doing well and appreciated the card that everyone signed last week.  The card and flowers were delivered to Hugo by  Pres. Pat and First Lady- Naomi earlier this week

Pledge and Song: Monica Murrietta was then asked to lead the club in the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by Nancy Wohl leading everyone in America the Beautiful- exclaiming that it was a 'beautiful crowd" so that is why she chose that song.

Inspirational Moment: Monica quoted a poem by Ralph Waldo Emerson "What is Success": "To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and

the affection of children; To earn the approbation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty; To find the best in others; To give of oneself. To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; To have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived -This is to have succeeded. (Emerson 1-15)

Guest Introductions:  Jason Corey introduced wife of Matt Lallo- Teresa, Paul Dryman's sister- Rita; Keith Wintermute- brought Ethan Craig
