Welcome to the Rotary Passport Club of Minnesota (RPM)
I joined the Rotary Passport Club of Minnesota in June 2020 and am honored to serve as President for the 2021-2022 Rotary year. Our club seeks to bring the best of Rotary to our members through flexible opportunities for fellowship, networking, and collaborative service.
I am proud to say that the Tri-District Rotary Conference scheduled for April 21-23, 2022 with Districts 5950, 5960, 5580 is an example of the collaboration we seek to enhance Rotary for all! We strive to be nimble in order that Rotary can fit in people’s lives regardless of work or life circumstances. Our Zoom events allow members to participate from wherever they happen to be, such as from my home in Bismarck, North Dakota, and are also recorded for later viewing.
A Rotarian since 2014 in "University Research", I joined Rotary for an opportunity to give back, be part of something larger than myself, and make great friends along the way. I strongly believe in the hallmark of Rotary as a non-political, non-religious organization that have helped it achieve success where other organizations and entities have not. In accordance with Rotary’s motto “Service Above Self”, I consistently look for opportunities to help others. I have served as a board member in two other Rotary clubs. I previously served District 5580 on their Training Committee (2017-2020) and as editor of their “Cross Currents” monthly Newsletter (2018-2020).
A Toastmaster since 2013, I am a proud supporter of the Rotary Toastmasters Alliance. I have served in several Toastmasters club officer positions including:
- Sergeant-At-Arms (July 2014-June 2015)
- Vice President of Public Relations (July 2015-June 2016)
- President, (July 2016-June 2017)
- Division C Director (2019-2020, 2020-2021)
- Club Growth Director in 2021-2022.
We are a welcoming and vibrant club. I am excited to work with our excellent members and leadership team to guide the Rotary Passport Club of Minnesota in the year ahead! Together we will, in accordance with Rotary International President Shekhar Mehta’s 2021-2022 theme,
“Serve to Change Lives”!
