Grade 4 French Immersion student Colleen Zander, of South Sa-Hali Elementary was introduced by Resource Teacher Chris Wood as a student who "loves coming to school everyday".  From her presentation, it's clear that Colleen loves most things in her life . . .

9 year old Colleen began dancing at age 3 and only 6 years later was selected for the Canada Summer Games 'Reach for the Stars' dance group to perform at the Opening Ceremonies.  She auditioned against dancers considerably older than her for this honour.

With school every day, 7 hours a week of dance lessons, and daily practice in her home dance room, you would think that Colleen would have no time left for other pursuits.  You would be wrong.  She also takes singing and music lessons, and is active with Battle of the Books.

Colleen's future holds performing on Broadway and becoming a veterinarian.  Good luck to you, Colleen!
