PRESENTATIONS

RYLA - Heather's power point showed us what a good time she (and others!) had at RYLA at Naramata in May of this year.  Rotary Youth Leadership Award is for 19 - 24 year olds (in District 5060; other ages in other Districts) and is held in May of each year.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

CHRISTMAS PARTY - Rotary (and public): Dec. 12.08. Tickets $35 / person available from Mike D and Randy.  PolioPlus presentation by Penny Legate.

PRESIDENT'S OPEN HOUSE - Randy invites all to his home on Sunday, Dec 14.  He will email out the time.

RACE FOR WATER - June 2009 - 8 - 10 people needed to support Guatemala project: water filters.  Downtown club is sponsor for 2009.  We need a chair to begin working with other club chairs to organize this event.  Are you the person for this event?

OKTOBERFEST 2009: Jim H, Dorys, and Vic will have date and location shortly and will have a report including committee structure ready for January 6 club meeting. 

ROTARY FOUNDATION SEMINAR: in Richmond on January 30 & 31, 2009. Hoping that President Elect (Mike D) & RI Chair (Steve R) will be able to attend. All are invited.  See www.Rotary Events.ca for all the details.

COIN COUNTING CONTINUES - Steve R wants to lighten your pockets / purses for Polio Plus.  Bring in your spare change to any meeting and Steve will count it and submit on your behalf to RI.
