November 27th Minutes

Guests: Chantel Wilkinson, our Outbound Rotary Exchange Youth, guest of Karin Sykes, and Julie MacInnes, Downtown Health Centre administrator, guest of Steve Rollheiser. Welcome to you both!

Club Minutes . . .

  • Sofia's Week: Curling is "the most boring game".  She really did NOT like it.  In hockey, she says she "keeps losing the little black thing". She is very much looking forward to skiing this weekend - stay tuned to see how that cold weather activity turns out!  BTW: It's -2 in her hometown this week!
  • AGM & Club Election Results - next newsletter!
  • Operation Red Nose: Stephen Karpuk will advise Operation Red Nose that we cannot fill the Dec 1 date, but that we are confirmed for December 8th.  Six members raised their hands to help that date (you know who you are . . . :) We need 40 to fully staff an evening.  There are roles for everyone: partners, adult children, Rotaract and Interact.  FMI: email Stephen at bcchiro@gmail.com .
  • Christmas Party, Dec 12.07: Darren has tickets - $ 25.00 / person.  Location: Chapter's Viewpoint.  Invite guests who may be interested in Rotary.  Interact and Rotaract have also been invited.
  • Stamp Collecting - Ongoing: Reg continues to collect stamps for a fundraiser for another organization.  Please save all your stamps for him, ensuring a 1/2 inch paper around each stamp or set of stamps.

Next Meeting: Rotary Foundation: Steve Rollheiser; Classification Talk: Jim Harker; Alzheimer's presentation: Marge Rogers.  Guests are always welcome!
