Nine-year-old Lucas came up with the idea to fundraise for the LUCAS (Lund University Cardiopulmonary Assist System) device for the Howell Area Fire Department after learning about it on a tour. The LUCAS system is designed to deliver automated and uninterrupted compressions at a consistent rate and depth to facilitate the return of spontaneous circulation. Lucas will tell us more about this device, why he thinks it is important, and the effort he is putting into fundraising to get additional devices.
