On Jan 4th, we had a great meeting to start the 2nd half of the Rotary year.
We discussed our personal goals. While we weren't into resolutions, we were into making positive changes in our lives. The majority of the goals mentioned were centered around being more active. (see in "Other News" below for such an activity).
On Jan 6th, we had a great turn out for the Beach Cleanup (see pics at the top).

Caltrain will be making the trip up the Peninsula on and we want you to be a part of it! The Celebration Train provides free train service to the Martin Luther King Jr. Day March in San Francisco, organized in partnership with the Northern California Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Foundation. FREE ADMISSION AT NATIONAL PARKS In celebration of Dr. King’s birthday, all national parks are waiving admission in the year’s first fee free day of the year.
As discussed in the Jan. 4th meeting the fundraising event will be postponed to 2025 due to the level of interest in the community and club being able to support upfront costs.

Walk with Me
Sunday, January 14 & 8am - if you are up for an early morning hike, join me at the
Fir Trail and Tafoni Trail. This easy 2.4-mile loop trail is located near Redwood City. It takes about 1 hour and 2 minutes to complete. I will bring the granola bars.

The speaker at our January 18th is Jenny Bates. Jenny Bates is the current President of the D5150 MHRAG. She is also the spouse of the current District Governor, Laine Hendricks. In addition, Jenny has worked over twenty-five years in the field of mental health and addiction. She promises an interactive discussion on Mental Health for our club.
