A few reminders of the events coming up for our club

At the District 9675 Changeover we were able to celebrate the wonderful work done by the many clubs in our district. It was the end of District Governor Janice Hall's Imagine Rotary Year and the welcoming of Tonia Barnes for the 2023/2024 Rotary Year. 

 

A collaborative effort with the Rotary Clubs of Macarthur was awarded Best Vocational Community Event for the First Responders Awards.

Special mention to Kim and Adam who were involved in the organisation along with many other representatives from the Macarthur area. 

 

We were also awarded Club of the Year for the district. We are a young club and this achievement is testament to the hard work of all our members - we have been involved in many projects and we loved hearing that our club has received this wonderful award. 

 

 

Bunnings BBQ's are a fabulous way for us to raise money and last weekend, we had a very successful day. 

Thank you to all our club members who volunteered to help and a special shout our to Caitlin, Chloe, Olivia and Tom from the Interact Club of Macarthur for your help as well to make this such a wonderful day.

Mother Hubbard's Cupboard is a local community organisation who strive to "fill what's empty" by providing household items and clothing. By working with many organisations in the area and receiving donations from members of the public they are able to liaise with people in need to provide what they require. With over 75 volunteers, they work tirelessly for the community.

In May we held a BBQ for those who attended the Mother's Day Classic in Camden. At our meeting we were thrilled to have Sara and Kellie come and speak to us about the event and how we can collaborate with them in the future. We raised $1000 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

For many members of our club, this was our first opportunity to attend a Rotary International Convention and what a great time we had. Engaging and inspiring guest speakers, meeting many Rotarians from around the world and learning so much about the amazing work done by Rotary across the world. Melbourne put of many wonderful events and we were event spoilt with great weather. To see Rod Laver Arena filled with people who strive to do good in the world was amazing.
