Michael Ball continues his family’s tradition by becoming a Rotarian today.  His mother, Margie Haas - District Governor Nominee for District 6360, father Gene, and grandfather Del Crisp have all been Rotarians dating back to the 1940’s and Michael is excited to carry the torch and serve his community.
A graduate of the University of Michigan, Michael spent most of his early career in the sport and event management industry, primarily managing ice arenas.  At one point, he was arguably the best Zamboni driver in the state of Michigan.  Michael’s career took him to Des Moines, Iowa for a few years where he also earned his Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Drake University.

Returning to Michigan in late 2011, Michael served as Asset Manager for a multi-family property management company and collaborated on the management of several low-income housing communities.  Michael is now in his third year as an IT Project Manager for BeneSys, a Third Party Administrator in Troy, that manages benefits for trade unions across the country.  Michael is responsible for the coordinated team effort of new client implementation and process enhancement.

Michael is an avid sports fan and you’ll hear him cheering the loudest on fall Saturdays in Ann Arbor.  In his spare time, he enjoys golf, trivia, music, reading, and spending time with friends and family.  Michael also volunteers with the Big Brothers/Big Sisters Club of Metropolitan Detroit and the South Oakland Shelter.
