CARE House of Oakland County

CARE House is the Children’s Advocacy Center for Oakland County.  We serve families from all jurisdictions and all socio-economic backgrounds.  We work with Law Enforcement and Child Protective Services to intervene when there are allegations of abuse in a child friendly setting to minimize additional trauma and provide therapy.  CARE House gives children a voice.  We provide a space for their story to be heard, a safe place for children and families to heal from the trauma of abuse.  We see kids when they come to CARE House for the first time for an interview, sometimes a little nervous or unsure, and see the same kids after they have started treatment services, smiling ear to ear when they arrive for a session with their therapist.

Chad Ozias, Director of Philanthropy for CARE House of Oakland Count, joined the CARE House staff in December of 2013 and is honored to be a part of such an incredible team.  He is a lifelong resident of Oakland County aside from his years at Michigan State University - GO GREEN!  Chad grew up in Clawson, and now lives in Troy, with his wife Channèl, 2 year old son Lincoln, and is expecting a girl in early June.  Chad plays guitar and sings in a rock band, enjoys playing sports, watching sports, hunting and fishing, and spending time with family and friends.
