Bridge to Bridge and Beyond, Detroit Riverfront Project

The Detroit RiverFront Conservancy (DRFC), a 501(c)(3) organization, is responsible for the establishment, improvement, operation, maintenance, security, programming and expansion of the Detroit RiverWalk and associated green spaces. The Detroit RiverWalk and Dequindre Cut see more than 3 million visitors annually and provide Detroiters and SE Michigan residents public access to more than 5 miles of greenspace including 3.5 on the riverfront. 

Rachel Frierson is the Programs and Community Outreach Manager for the Conservancy. In this role, she is responsible for planning the Conservancy’s public programming which reaches more than 300,000 participants annually and aims to increase health and wellness, environmental stewardship and civic opportunity in Detroit. Rachel also handles social media for the Conservancy.
