July News!

On July 7th, the Elizabeth Rotary thanked Trinitas Regional Medical Center for their service to the Elizabeth Community, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. President Ken Richuso presented a $2500 check to Aida Mendez Boud for the Trinitas Foundation's Scribbles to Script project for preschoolers.

Gary Horan, President and CEO of Trinitas Regional Medical Center, was presented with a Paul harris fellowship. This award was presented to Horan for his leadership and example. The presentation was made by Past District Governor Ray Freaney, who was instrumental in obtaining a Rotary Grant which provided Trinitas with three ventilators at the height of the Covid hospitalization crisis. Both President Ken and PDG Ray thanked Gary and the entire Trinitas staff for their heroic efforts during the pandemic. Elizabeth mayor Chris Bollwage also attended and participated in the presentation.

The Elizabeth Rotary Club received the District’s 1st Place “Care and Share” award for our Virtual Taste of Elizabeth! Great job by Chairman Doug Harris and the hard working TOE committee. Special thanks to Videographer/Producer/Director Tyler Kubicz as well as Dave Strochak and Dave DeVenter (Batdave and Strochak) for their entertaining interviews. Roughly 3800 people have watched the event and the entire video is still on our Facebook page. Individual clips of the restaurants are also viewable on the Batdave and Strochak Facebook page. Thanks again to all who contributed!
