Rosana started her career in 1989 at the GM Saginaw Division – Detroit Gear and Axle Plants as a co-op student in the Manufacturing Engineering department.  In 1998, she returned to GM as a Manufacturing Engineering (ME) for the Truck and Bus Group and held various engineering positions including the Pontiac G6 program launch at the Orion Assembly Plant. Since January 2015, Rosana has been growing the role of Pontiac Community Relations. In 2015, the GM Pontiac campus was recognized as a key community leader in the City of Pontiac due in part to Rosana’s leadership and involvement.   Rosana has won several community awards including the Hands and Feet award in 2017 from the Center for Success, Pontiac.

Rosana has been an SAE A World in Motion (AWIM) volunteer since 2002.  She has personally taught over 1000 young students in seven different schools and is proficient in the all the Primary, Skimmer, and Jet Toy challenges.  Rosana has received the “SAE Detroit Outstanding Service to AWIM Award for Outstanding Contribution to the SAE Detroit Chapter” in May, 2013.  This was for her contribution to re-engaging the AWIM programs in the Pontiac, MI school district at all the elementary schools beginning in 2012.  Currently she is a member at large for the SAE Detroit Chapter Board.  In 2016 Rosana was also awarded the ‘Bill Agnew - Outstanding AWIM Volunteer’ award by SAE International.  Rosana’s passion for AWIM has been a key driver for her to share AWIM with multiple schools and corporations to assist with their own AWIM program outreach.  Rosana also sits on the board for GMModern Housing Neighborhood Association and is a member of the visionary council for the Pontiac Regional Chamber’s initiative Pontiac READS!.
