Rachel Loughrin from Pontiac's Economic Development department joined the group to talk about her job attracting and retaining businesses within the city of Pontiac. In addition to the members hearing about what Rachel does as Director of PED, she also allowed the group to ask her questions about various businesses, vacant buildings and projects is in the works.
Rachel shared with everyone about some exciting affordable housing complexes that would brighten the landscape of the city. Due to the affordable prices, location (location location) and the appeal of the size of Pontiac compared to other cities, substantial growth in the forecast. We look forward to having Rachel back to go further in depth with us about the plan to move Pontiac (and the County as a whole) forward.
