Our speaker, Mark Elliott from Elliott Woodworking had an interesting talk about the history of this Pontiac company, and their growth. They specialize in creating drawers, cupboard doors, wood butcher block countertops and so much more. There are currently 11 employees in the shop and they are looking for 2 good workers, who are willing to be trained and must have good math skills. We also had our lucky bucks that were given for to share information with the club. The information included World Series, a shameless promotion (guess who this was), Up North weekend getaway, welcoming a guest and someone who was just visiting. Lucky bucks are definitely a fun way to share "happenings" with members and a wonderful way to get to know everyone while raising funds to support our mission of engaging youth and building our community.
